The early symptoms diabetes are seldom recognized for what they really represent. Many times they are taken for granted as normal occurrences in the cyclic functions of the body. Also they appear to be so subtle that they are seldom interpreted as a matter of concern regarding health status. As well they can be attributed to many other dysfunctional conditions in the body which mask their appearance.
A major development of changes in the body can be sited when there is thirst . Primarily it is conceived that it is O. K to be thirsty especially if the day is hot and there are climatic changes. A hot day will definitely produce the need for fluids.
The true facts however are never considered. It is concluded that if the day is hot and the body is losing fluid through evaporation then it is safe to be thirsty and drink plenty of water. This is the most logical explanation for thirst.
An alert however, is when this thirst is coupled with frequent bathroom visits in order to urinate. Subconsciously, the first reaction is that if there is increase in drinking fluids then there must be increase in flushing it out as well.
It could the be then observed that the thirst is equivalent to the bathroom visits. There seems to be a competition between drinking of water and visits to the bathroom. This definitely, should raise a red flag when it is accompanied by associating desires or intolerances.
Yearnings can be so subtle that they mask other conditions such as aging, grief and generally emotional conditions such as depression. They are often manifested as hunger; sleepiness leading to lethargy; inclination to just rest; impulsiveness towards inactivity and inappropriate and non responses to stimuli due to tiredness.
Other changes occur as insensitiveness or intolerance to sugar. On most occasions it is a reaction of the body when realizing that the intake of sugar is related to drowsiness. It is a natural avoidance. Also this can be misunderstood to feel that it is a change occurring from burns to the tongue inflicted by cold or heat.
A real alert should be after months of these changes in body functions there is unexplained weight loss. These early symptoms diabetes may be happening and must never be bypassed when making judgments about daily bodily functions. One must always be alert, aware of changes in the body; and be cognizant of these acute diversions as being abnormal.
